Customer Support Engineer (German)

Currently we are looking for a highly motivated German speaking CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER to join our team in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Job Description:
As a German Customer Support Engineer you are part of our international Support Team that deals with the German speaking community. You will answer a wide range of customer inquiries about GamePoint, our games and community-related matters and thus helping to improve our customers’ satisfaction. The Customer Support Engineer is active in our chats, answers the phone and takes care of incoming Support tickets by mail and through various Social Networks.

We expect you to:

  • Processing incoming support tickets in the Helpdesk
  • Actively engaging with players in the Chat and keeping it a friendly environment
  • Commenting on support inquiries on Social Media
  • Supporting the volunteers in their daily activities
  • Providing Web Care support
  • Reporting on top complaints and suggestions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Native German speaker
  • A high level of empathy and strong customer focus
  • Genuine team player with good people skills and a hands-on attitude
  • The ability to handle complaints in difficult and busy situations and stay positive at all times!

Job Description:
As a Junior System Administrator you are maintaining and expending our server park on a daily basis. Within GamePoint there is a total of 200+ switches and servers. At the same time, you will keep your eye on lots of gigabytes of data every day. But above that all you are responsible that millions of players are being happy and able to play our games! Would you like to be part of this and work in a team that is working on a migration to the cloud. Than we are looking for you

We expect you to:

  • Maintain our servers
  • Create solutions for incidents (software/hardware)
  • Implement new software/hardware
  • Active in explaining problems and solutions to colleagues
  • Manage incidental challenges during non-business hours

Requirements:

  • You have experience with; Linux like systems, NGINX, MySQL, Puppet/Chef, DNS, File systems, Networking.
  • 1 till 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of 2 or more programming languages like; Bash, Ruby, PHP or Python.
  • Knowledge of 1 or more technologies like; Memcached, Couchbase, Redis or Riak
  • Knowledge of Active Directory or VMware would be a pré

Als een Customer Support Engineer werk je in ons internationale Support Team. Binnen deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de support van de Nederlandse en Engelse community. Je beantwoordt een breed scala aan vragen via de mail, chat, telefoon en social media. De speler verdient het om elke dag de juiste aandacht te krijgen, correcte antwoorden op hun vragen en goede oplossingen voor hun inlog- of betaalproblemen.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Het verwerken van inkomende support tickets in onze helpdesk
  • Reageren op vragen op sociale media en onze blog
  • Het monitoren van de verschillende chatrooms op gedrag en taalgebruik
  • Klanten te woord staan via de telefoon
  • Onze vrijwilligers ondersteunen in hun dagelijkse werkzaamheden

Job Description:
As a full stack web developer you are the one that writes the code that enframes our gaming platform with 270K unique players per day. But you are as well responsible to make sure everything behind the screens is working as smooth as possible. Do you have the nerves to put a piece of code live that will be used over 40 million times a day? Then we are looking for you to join our team!

We expect you to:

  • Work on front-end features that get used by a lot of users.
  • Work on back-end tools for your future colleagues (national and international).
  • Work on back-end scripts that process millions of data points
  • Maintain projects, implement new features and fix bugs.
  • Be a part of the development process of a project from start till finish.
  • Work on integrations with companies like Facebook.

Requirements:

  • You have an Associate degree in informatics or similar
  • An expert in PHP/OOP that knows there’s always more to learn. Knowledge of other programming languages is a pré.
  • Knowledge of MySQL
  • You are skilled with markup and interface languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • 1-3 years of expertise
  • You like to work in a team that likes to have fun, but works very hard to get every job done on time!
