Description
As Community Assistant (CA) you are the link between the players and GamePoint:

• You report to the GamePoint Community Management team.
• You’re primarily focused on our social network communities: Responding to player comments and inquiries within these social networks, announcing GamePoint events and safe-guarding a friendly, open environment for new and returning players.
• You know which users are most active within the community and their likes/dislikes concerning GamePoint. You can actively give support to the community and you are a social center point for this community.
• You are visibly available on the site and open for conversations with your community members and the volunteers of GamePoint.
• You will contribute to events (tournaments etc) held on the international platform.
• You are actively involved in testing new features and relaying player feedback to the development team

Profile
We request the following:

• You’re active in social networks like Facebook and understand advanced functionality like posting images, status updates and creating events within these networks.
• You have been actively involved in discussions, threads, comments, articles on the web and can show your involvement.
• Your English is near native in word and writing. Additional language skills are a pre.
• You are self supporting and flexible. Our international community spans multiple continents and as such has players in many different time zones. We expect an employee that understands flexible working hours both from home and from the office and can organize the work accordingly.
• You are communicative and accessible
• You can handle both fun and stress with the same professional behavior.

As online community management is a relatively new field, we set much higher value on a fit with this profile than work experience.

GamePoint attending GamesCom Cologne

From the 18th to the 22nd of August Cologne, Germany will once again be the focal point of the gamesworld during the famous GamesCom. Gathering the biggest names in the industry and hundreds of thousands of gaming enthusiasts to celebrate this wonderful industry of ours.

1,000,000 registration milestone reached

Roughly half a year after launching its games in Facebook, GamePoint’s applications have now generated over one million registrations. Tens of thousands of players from all over the world enjoy the GamePoint Facebook applications every day, playing with and against each other in a community spanning all GamePoint Facebook applications, the GamePoint portals and partner websites. The daily amount of minutes spent in our games now exceeds a staggering 10,000,000 minutes, which translates into 20 years of gameplay every single day!

GamePoint aims to continue it’s expansion throughout the world by setting up high profile partnerships with digital media companies, expansion of its social network presence and localisation of its content for new countries, adding to the 10 current languages in which the games and portals are already available.

GamePoint implements new social applet features

New Headers and Footer

A little under 5 months after launching some of our successful multiplayer games as social network applications in Facebook, Today GamePoint implemented a number of improvements to the social network ‘wrapper’ surrounding the actual games.

With 2 new headers and a new footer, GamePoint players will now be able to easely become fans, bookmark applications, invite friends and compare scores with their buddies.

500,000 registrations on GP Facebook apps

SpinBingo on FacebookAfter launching a number of Facebook applications in December of 2009, the collection of GamePoint games available in Facebook has grown to 10. These games have now generated a staggering half a million registrations and boast tens of thousands of daily active players from all around the globe.

In the near future GamePoint will be updating these games with new and exciting viral features, thus enabling the organic growth to continue, while also using Facebook ads and a number of traffic partners to stimulate the blooming international GamePoint community.

200 minutes spent per visit in GamePoint games

As the GamePoint games are all multiplayer experiences, playing a game isn’t as simple as clicking and playing. New players will need to connect to others and thus form new lasting online relationships. These personal connections and our engaging gameplay cause people to stick around: Our average time spent per session in The Netherlands is a staggering 200 minutes!

As the time spent on The Netherlands continues to grow, so does the time spent on our other platforms. While the GamePoint.de time spent isn’t yet at the level of our Dutch platform, they’re closing in fast. The time spent on our International platform, including hundreds of thousands of players on Facebook, is over 120 minutes per visit!
